3 down, 98 to go!

Hooray for me, I have knocked three items off of my 101 in 1001 days list...

30. Go through my closet and get rid of clothes that have collected dust
47. Get a professional massage
63. Redecorate our bathroom

I am so excited to be able to cross #30 of my list!

Last Friday I did a major cleaning of the clothes hanging in my closet. I got rid of 4 trader joe's bags of clothes...(some of the clothes were actually vacuumed packed and under my bed, but still..) I was also talking to my girlie, liz, and man did the cleaning fly by while chatting with her..I think whenever I need to overhaul something I might give her a ring ding...

see, all of this gone!

What is even better is a good amount of the clothes were recycled to my girlies, liz, kar and kate! The group of girls who I am going to run the half marathon with...i get to cross that off my list on April 25th! Most of the stuff I got rid of was the conservative suits I wore to NT my last job, and since liz and kar still work at NT they are the perfect people to pass the goods onto. Kate also inherited a few class suit pieces that she can use when she has to go into a meeting and make a statement that says "look here peeps, I mean business and you will listen to me!" lol Never fear though because I still have some great suits and still probably about 15 work appropriate jackets. I think I got rid of about $1000 worth of work items. I know that sounds crazy but when I worked at NT every few months I would go on some bargain basement hunts and get $300-$400 suits for $90 or less...Kar said it best when she wore one of the suits to work and got lots compliments, "you live on at NT but don't actually have to work at this funhouse anymore!" so freakin' true!!

I even got rid of 5 pairs of shoes, and those that really know me, know that is just crazy...but ive also bought about 5 in the last 3 months!shhhhhh, don't tell the hubs

#47 gets to be crossed off after our valentine's day fun. Getting a massage for valentine's day was a great gift and lots of fun!

#63, I redid our bathroom, yay!

I have wanted to change the bathroom for some time, the shower curtain we had was from almost 4 years ago when i first moved into a place in downtown SD after college...the time was now!

On valentine's day Scott and I ran some errands since we hand celebrated the day before. He knew we were going to try and find a shower curtain, and for once was on board with re-decorating and buying something, lol. I really thought it was going to be struggle for us to agree on something but we found an super cute rug that was mostly grey with a little light pink and teal, and then we found a geometric patterned grey shower curtain that we BOTH loved! woohooo!

It is so crazy how a new shower curtain and rug can totally change the look and feel of your bathroom. An even bigger bonus was the colors matched the stuff I had on the wall so I didn't have to shop for accessories!

I will have to add another item to my list because I have move overseas on there twice...I also was reading through them and realized one says I want eat a fondue restaurant, not eat at, but instead that I want to eat the whole restuarant, yuck yuck yuck....

101 tasks in 1001 days

The Mission:Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

part wiener dog, part detective!

oh the life of khloe...she truly is such a wonderful loving puppy.

On Friday morning she broke out of her kitchen hideout, aka, the place we keep her to sleep and during the day while we are at work. We were home on Friday and trying to sleep about 530 am (an hour after she usually gets up) khloe decided she was tired of being lonely and managed to push down the baby gate...what is so cute about this story is she didn't escape to go try and jump on the couch, eat every pair of underwear in the laundry basket, or use the bathroom in the spare bedroom. She broke down the baby gate to come barreling into the bedroom and beg to get in bed and snuggle with us! How could you be made at that??!

Here is khloe last week with daddy getting ready for her first day of school!

Family portrait...

Khloe has gotten very gutsy and loves to run around outside...when she gets distracted, or in detective mode as I call it, she will run down 2-3 houses...we want her to be able to go outside and enjoy the air and the sunlight when we are home, but even when we sit out there we end up having to chase her, and boy can that wiener dog run fast! Thus, we decided we needed to buy one of those steaks you put in the ground and attach a long leash to...just so she can enjoy some time outside and I don't have to worry she is going to turn into a pancake if she decides to run into the street...

Here she is trying to dig out the steak in the ground...

Here she is playing with daddy, she also went on a walk with daddy to petco to pick out that toy for her Valentine's day present...

the valentine's day extravaganza!

wow, a whole week after Valentine's Day I actually have time to post about the wonderful weekend my husband planned.

Valentine's Day has never been one of my favorite holidays, but in the past few years the hubs seems to continue to out do himself and this year as we celebrated our first Valentine's day as a married couple he did not disappoint.

We decided to celebrate on Saturday as we had church and puppy training on Sunday, and wanted to avoid the big v-day crowds.

I woke up on Saturday morning to flowers and a box of chocolates....

We then took khloe on a nice little walk, got a cup of coffee from our beloved starbucks...and then after dropping the pup off at home went to breakfast...

After a nice nap we went and got a massage! felt so good, i felt a little like i was drunk when we were done because I was so relaxed.

The main event present came later in the I could wear it out to dinner...

I love it so much! I had mentioned it around Christmas and he remembered!

While I was getting all dolled up Khloe and the hubs decided to take another nap...

Scott surprised me for dinner and took me to La Dolce Vita, which is a very cute and amazing little italian restaurant that we went to last year and for a few other special occasions that i LOVE! I ordered my favorite dish in the whole wide world, Portabello Florentine...seriously, this dish is the best meal I have ever had in my life! I swear! We ordered a bottle of wine and had a nice dinner and conversation....we then headed to the little bar downstairs and had a few glasses of sangria (or sarangee for a few of my girls, lolol!) and then headed home. What a wonderful day all planned by my wonderful husband...i heart him lots...

meetin' up with some girlies...

Today, in just a few short hours I will be headed down to SD for training for work, but that also means tonight I will get to see some girls from my old job for wine night! wooohoooo

I am beyond excited, I haven't seen these girls in months and I miss them dearly...

I hope that the rain stays away for my drive down so I can get there and check into my hotel asap.

Then I get to come back home to my hubby and lady khloe and have a fun surprised filled Valentine's day weekend! Life is good!

wowza, I've been mia lately...the first week of February is already over and done with!

Work, puppy khloe, running for the 1/2 marathon, and the hubby are keeping my pretty busy. Work as been pretty busy the last few weeks and I am loving it. I am teaching classes about once a week and have gotten a lot of calls to do extra classes, which is great! I am also really getting pretty heavily involved in the marketing aspect of my job and that has been pretty exciting. I just completed the training i needed to be able to do financial counseling at work, which is something that I think I will really excel at, not to toot my own horn :) Now if only I could start a blog for my work and then get paid to blog! :)

Khloe had her second vet visit this past friday, she was 5 pounds 2.5 ounces the first visit, this visit she weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces...scott and i both swore she was going to be over 10 pounds...but i guess she is just growing longer...her little wiener body is so cute! She also got the little chip put in her just in case she ever gets lost...

last night poor little khloe was sick, she threw up about 4 or 5 times...I think she either at a snail or a mushroom from outside. All last night she just snuggled on mama's lap. She is back to her old self today and wants to play and still cuddle :)

this post is proving to be pretty boooooooooooooooooooooooring, but hey, all i have really been doing is working, running, and walking khloe...and every now and again trying to clean the house so my hubby doesn't have a coronary.

I did finally manage to get the invites out for my sis's bachelorette party that is next month! I made them myself, and think they are pretty cute!

This week I am going down to San Diego on wednesday for two days of training for work. That means girls night in SD!! On wednesday I am getting together with my running gals and hopefully my gal dennise for a girls night at a wine bar, I am so excited, can wait! I am driving back up friday after training for a nice valentine's day weekend with the hubby, our first as a married couple! We already have an appointment for a massage on saturday and he made dinner reservations for saturday and won't tell me where :) (We are celebrating a day early because we want to!)

Now, just so you have a reward for reading my boring post here are some pics of khloe

a few close up shots, because, let's face it, she is pretty freakin cute!

daddy pretending to be mad because khloe destroyed her bed and we had to buy a new one

this was her first day out on a walk that was not around the block, she was in heaven with all the people and other doggies

she likes to get in our bags...maybe she thinks she is a purse puppy!

do you think she likes to go on walks?!

who dat...

I'm rootin' for the "who dat" nation...

I am so excited for Drew and the Saints I kinda forgot about the commericals...

p.s. I've been a bit mia lately, i'll be back this week!
