Part 1: pre-wedding festivities

I think I am finally ready…to blog about the wedding!

For those of you just tuning in, Scott and I were married on April16, 2009, on June 5, 2010 had our wedding. It was amazing!

I thought it would be easiest on me and on your eyes to break the events up!

On Thursday night we had a nice dinner with all of the family who came in from out of town. There were about 17 of us at a pizza place, talk about craziness! It was a great time, we had pizza, drinks and got to meet with everyone. There was also a balloon man there and of course the bride and groom would not be complete without balloon hats!

After dinner we walked across the parking lot to our lovely hotel and all sat around the fire pit and kept the socializing going!

Friday night was of course the rehearsal dinner. Of all of the planning that needed to be done for the wedding, the rehearsal dinner was the thorn in my side. The long and short of it is, every place that I wanted to do the dinner at did not work or was almost as much as the wedding reception price! I cancelled the dinner and then Scott decided that we must have a rehearsal dinner and spent way more then we had planned…but it turned out to be a great event. After a quick rehearsal at the church we all headed to our hotel to have a wonderful Mexican buffet dinner! It was beyond yummy…

We did a little gift exchange, which included really cool personalized bar signs for the guys and coach purses for my wonderful bridesmaids! P.S. my bridesmaids all rocked!!!!!!

I also presented Scott with a photo book of our first year of marriage…it was a big hit!

I was exhausted by 930 and insisted the party shut down…all week we had been in our awesome hotel room with the comfiest bed, and all week I was up by 630 am! By the time Friday night rolled around I felt like I hadn’t slept in days! Before scott and I parted ways until we met again at the alter we took a walk along the bay to have a bit of alone time.

Up next, getting ready…the guys and the gals!

Awww, what FUN!! After our dress rehearsal (7 years ago... yes, I said SEVEN... wow!) we had a huge party over on my parents big deck. It was such a fabulous time, just like yours! Your dresses looked adorable as well! Can't wait to read about more :-)
