graduation day {my hubby: the graduate}

Over the memorial day weekend Scott walked in his college graduation.

We drove to La Verne {about an hour inland}, we were beyond lucky, we did not hit any traffic, not a single jumble of cars, woohoo!

We arrived early and thus got parking right in front of the school.

Waiting for the ceremony to begin

there he is!

The school is a small private school so before they did the bachelors degrees for all the business programs they did they masters programs and MBA's.

Scott graduated Summa Cum Laude.

There for he was the third person to walk for the bachelors programs, yay hubby!

There were only 4 people during this ceremony and 13 people for the whole spring graduating class who received the schools highest honors. He also received departmental honors.

The graduate: Bachelors in Organizational Management

I love how the picture of us turned out, this will be framed in our house soon!

had to get a few shots in front of school signs

{the back}

he looks very studious here!

The ceremony was good, the speeches were good and bad.  The graduate speaker did a great job, I really enjoyed his speech.  The undergraduate who spoke {they had a contest for each speeches} did not impress me. I think it was a typical speech of a 22 year old new graduate.  She was so focused on all the things she did in college, blah blah blah....little does she know the world outside of college is a completely different beast!

Any time I am on a college campus I want to go back to school.

I love learning and would love to go back to school, the problem is I have no idea what I want to study.

I have a bachelors in Political Science but I wouldn't get a Masters in Poli Sci.

I thought I wanted to get my Masters in marriage and family therapy, which I no longer want to do. I was going to go back to school for that if I couldn't find a job when I moved to Ventura in May of 2009.  I found an amazing job working with military families.  I also worked with a lot of MFT counselors and realized it isn't something I would want to do for the next 20 years...
{glad I got the job and had the realization}

therefore i wait to see what the lord has in store for me...

Scott and I want to do a lot things before either of us goes back to school, so no more college for us for a few years...

{so so so so so proud of my amazing husband!}
