inspiration workshop {vintage}

It has been a few weeks since I have posted with Gussy and her inspiration workshop.

Gussy Sews Inspiration Workshop!

I am a day late, but I was roadtripping back home from Washington yesterday :)

I was so excited to see the topic of vintage because over the last few weeks I have inherited two amazing vintage pieces.

The first is a glass beaded necklace.  My mom sent this to me, it belonged to my great-grandma.

It is beyond gorgeous!

I can't wait until I have some place special to wear it.

The second vintage item I inherited is a corduroy quilt from my grandma that belong to my great grandma {different great grandmas, I believe, but both on my moms side.}

I have loved this blanket since I was a kid. When I was visiting my parents I was talking about it with my grandma and she said if I liked it I might as well have it now. {you know, instead of waiting for her to move on, her words not mine, lol}  yeow {hehe, love me a gussy yeow!}

I love that the quilt is not your standard squares but random shapes and the yellow stitching is gorgeous and obviously took a lot of time. {I think my grandma said it is called a Paris stitch.}

The color combo on this quilt screams Fall, which is perfect since Fall is right around the corner.

I have already used it to cuddle up with the hubs on the couch to watch TV.

Have you inherited any vintage pieces lately?
