a photo shoot in downtown ventura, ca {part I}

A few fun facts:

Scott and I got married 5 weeks after we got engaged.

We were married at the San Diego court house on April 16, 2009.

I quit my job and moved up to Ventura, CA {where Scott was stationed} on April 29th, 2009.

We never took engagement photos because we were saving for our big wedding in June of 2010. {and DUH! we were engaged for like 2.5 seconds}

We have tons of wedding pics hung up around the house, but nothing fun and casual.

I have really wanted to take family pictures and convincing Scott has really taken some time.

We have had so many amazing things happen to us while being stationed here, I wanted to make sure we had wall worthy pictures of our time here. I think I am going to make it a rule that we get at least one set of professional family pictures taken at each duty station.

In early December we headed to downtown Ventura to have some fun family pictures taken around town.

I love that all of these photos were taking in random alleys and the side of building in our downtown area.

stay tuned for the family pics that include our beloved fur baby Khloe!

That is one of the things we are doing! Every duty station taking pictures (which have so far all been pre-deployment- boo)! It is so fun to feel fancy for the day, and have the adventure of professional pictures! Your look so great! Some of our engagement pictures were urban like that and there is just something about the look of the brick! So gorgeous!
