sangria {a yummy recipe}

It is no secret that I love wine. But as the temperature rises a glass of red wine isn't very appealing. Enter in Sangria. Sangria is a Spanish drink that makes wine a perfect summer drink. {that is my technical definition of sangria!}

Here is my easy sangria recipe:

1 bottle of red wine {I used a Zinfandel}
1 cup of orange juice
1/3 a cup of brandy {brandy is key!}
1/2 a cup of triple sec
1 apple sliced into cubes
5-6 strawberries cut up
slices of an orange and or lemon
1 can of ginger ale
1/2 a lemon juiced

Mix everything together except the ginger ale. Refrigerate. Before serving add in the ginger ale. You could also use club soda but the ginger ale adds a bit of sweetness.

Oh lordy, I love Sangria! I have to be careful though -because of all the fruit you can't taste the alchohol!

I just wanted to let you know that I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award! All the details are in my post :)
