style remix {1 dress, 5 looks}

It's time for another round of Style Remix. I love this dress by Tucker for Target. I love it a little bit extra because I thrifted it at Crossroads for $12{I think the retail was $39.99} and it looked brand new. It originally came with a matching fabric belt but I always wear it with a contrasting belt.

I have worn this dress during the Fall, Winter and Spring months. I am pretty sure it will also be a staple in my summer wardrobe for evening dinners and evening strolls with Scott exploring Florida.

Not everyone is comfortable wearing bold bright colors, this dress has a bold print but the colors are a bit subdued.

My biggest piece of advice on putting together different looks with one piece is to try it on with everything in your closet. Take a night and just put random things together from your closet and see what you like, you might be surprised at what looks good together.

hat & necklace: Nordstrom/ sunnies, necklace, & bracelet: Forever21/ belt and purse: thrifted/ sandals: Target

This first look is perfect for a sunny spring day. Going to the farmers market, brunch and exploring the city with your love {or your bffs!}. I love that all the accessories are shades of gold or brown. Again nothing too bold for those afraid of color.

jacket: H&M/ belt: thrifted/ sunnies, necklace and earrings: Forever21/ flats: Target

Look 2 is perfect for a cooler spring day, perhaps a day filled with light random rain drops. The light-weight jacket isn't to heavy but keeps me warm. I love how big the pockets are because it can hold my phone and a small clutch so I don't have to carry a purse. I added silver accessories to this look to show how you can change the look with different accessories.

necklace: The Limited/ Sweater: GAP/ belt: came with a dress from Forver21/ bracelets: The Limited & Forever21/ earrings: Forever21/ boots: Nine West

I wore this outfit a few weeks ago to church when it was pretty cool out, cloudy and in the high 50's. I was wanting spring-like weather but since it was cooler the sweater and boots were key, but I went sans tights to feel a bit spring like.

necklace & bracelet: Forever21/ earrings: Kohls/ skirt and heels: JCPenney

This fourth look would be perfect for the office. I love pieces that you can totally transform into something else. Paired with this skirt the dress looks completely different and is more professional.

belt and clutch: thrifted/ necklace & bracelet: Forever21/ earrings: Kohls/ wedges: La Dolce Vita for Target

This last look is taken from look 4. When I was working in the financial world there were a lot of after work happy hours, especially on Thursday and Friday evenings. Sometimes you just don't have time to run home and change but you don't want to look stuffy at the bar. All I did to create this look was remove the skirt and add the belt, wedges and clutch. Super easy and yet the looks is totally transformed.

What do you think? Are you inspired to look at the dresses in your closet and see how you can style them?

That's a great dress and I love your combos. Way to get creative! I need to try the dress under a skirt. I've only layered a top over a dress :) I think #2 is my fave, but maybe that's b/c it's raining here today ;)
