Rhode Island {that time my husband was commissioned}

I can't believe it has been over a month since Scott graduated from OCS. I was in Rhode Island just over a month ago, gosh that seems like it was a decade ago.

Words cannot describe how I felt during the trip. I was so nervous to first see Scott. The first time I saw him was also the first time I saw him in khakis {swoon!}

The first few days I was there he still had a lot of work to do and a lot of restrictions.

Thursday we saw him lead his class in pass in review.

Thursday night we got all dolled up for the Hi-Moms cocktail event and then went to dinner with my parents and his parents.

shoes: Carlos Santana via Marshall's {i bought these years ago for $25 and they are my go to cocktail heels, one of my best purchases ever!}

I am so in love with this picture. Once we get settle into a home here in Virgina I will be printing this one and framing it for sure!
Friday morning we were up at ooo-three-thrity aka 0330, aka the but crack of dawn. We watched his class get the crap beat out of them, not really, but we got to see them all do some crazy and funny things. {go to youtube and type in OCS, you will see what I mean}.

After a quick shower, make up and clothing change it was time for the graduation. The pinnicle of the trip. The reason we were there. To see my hardworking husband commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy. A dream he has had for a long time. A goal he worked so hard for.

Seriously ladies, how could this not make you love a man in uniform?? ::swoon::

Seeing him do his first salue with  my dad made it a bit more real. {It is tradition that after the commissioning ceremony you do a first salute. It was extra special to be able to have my Dad share in this part of Scott's day.}

I have to admit thought I am still a bit in shock, I still can't find the words to express how grateful I am for the Lord blessing us in this way.

My two favorite men in the world!{Please don't mind my crazy hair, betweent he wind, humidity and drizzle I am surprised I don't look crazier!}

Like I said before I am beyond grateful for this amazing blessing. It is something Scott has been working towards for years. To see his dream come true is such a perfect reminder that hard work pays off. He is one of the hardest working people I know. I am always blown away by his dedication to the Navy and the pride he takes in his job. I know that God has big plans for him and I am so happy he {both God and Scott} chose me to be his partner in this journey.
